JAPAN - SENCHA
This stunning Sencha is grown in Shizuoka prefecture, along the coast of the Pacific Ocean. It’s grown at 100 meters elevation. Slightly different production methods are used to produce the unique balance of flavour - savoury umami matched with a lovely sweetness. Unlike other teas, Sencha is lightly steamed during production with no oxidation. It is then air dried and rolled to produce long slender bright green leaves. It’s a lovely and refreshing example of premium Sencha. Japan only exports a tiny percentage of the tea produced there, so this really is a rare treat.
For best results, brew at 75 degrees for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Use a dose of 3.4 grams of tea for 100 ml of water. Infuse twice. We think it is best enjoyed without milk.
