CHINA - JIN MAO HOU
This early spring tea comes from Fujian Province, China, where mountainous conditions are ideal for producing high-quality, full-bodied black tea. Carefully hand-picked, this tea yields a rich, floral aroma and a complex, evolving mouth feel, with lingering honey sweetness. Jin Mao Hou, or Golden Monkey, is named for its leaves’ resemblance to monkey paws, and has been highly regarded for its robust flavour since the late Qing Dynasty.
We find this tea best drunk black, but it also works well with a dash of cold milk!
For the best results, brew at 85 degrees for 3 minutes. Use a 2.6 gram dose of tea with 180 ml water. Infuse twice.
