Houjicha - 40 gram canister - Certified organically grown and processed, this houjicha is harvested in the autumn months. This particular tea is grown in the Kyoto and Kagoshima prefectures. It’s crafted from parts of the tea plant (called bancha) that are leftover from making sencha. After it’s hand picked, it’s then roastedovercharcoal, giving it a really unique, smoky green tea flavour. The roasted tea leaves taste very different from other Japanese steamed green teas, like sencha. Most of the caffeineisremoved in this roasting process which makes it a great relaxingdrink.

Mao Feng - 40 gram canister - This classic example of Chinese green tea is grown and harvested in Nanping Town of the Simao District, Puer City, Yunnanto the south east of the country.  One bud and two leaves are picked and withered before being loosely rolled. The dried leaves are long, slender and light in colour with a slight fuzz. The producers of this particular tea are committed to progressive methods of pest control that often pose a threat to their crops, and have been able to deliver this tea organically. The liquor is light and bright in colour, gentle, buttery and well rounded.

Dong Ding - 50 gram canister - This oolong originated as tea that was exclusively grown in the Dong Ding mountains in central Taiwan. Now, the name has evolved and relates to the process and style, rather than the location. This tea is a handpicked in the Spring harvest of this year and is organically grown. This tea garden is in the luscious Nantou county, a region with a delicate ecosystem. The leaves are picked, wilted, lightly oxidised, rolled and baked. A cultivation of traditional production methods and environmentally sustainable practice.
