CHINA, JASMINE PEARLS - GREEN TEA
Our Jasmine Pearls are made with spring-flush green tea from Yunnan Province, China, grown in a biodynamic tea garden in the mountains surrounding Pu’er. Cultivated at elevations of 1200–2000 metres, the high-altitude, humid climate supports slow, even leaf development, resulting in a tea with clarity and finesse.
The tea is hand-picked as one bud and two leaves, then carefully rolled into pearls to protect the leaf and preserve aromatics. Once shaped, the tea is set aside until jasmine flowering season. Freshly picked jasmine blossoms are layered over the tea for 5 days and nights. As the flowers open, their fragrance is absorbed by the pearls, naturally scenting the tea without the use of oils or additives.
The result is a softly floral, balanced cup with depth, freshness and a lingering jasmine aroma.
Available in 60 gram canisters.
For best results, brew at 90 degrees for 3 minutes. Use a dose of 1.3 grams of tea for 100ml of water. Infuse twice.
